WATCH: CBS Visits Epic

40 years of invention, from paper charts to ambient voice technology and beyond

On Sunday, Feb. 24, CBS’ Lee Cowan shared his trip to Epic’s intergalactic headquarters. Lee sat down with founder and CEO Judy Faulkner to discuss 40 years of invention, which saw patients’ medical records move from manila folders to interactive, patient-centered electronic records.

From CBS: “Correspondent Lee Cowan checks in on Epic Systems Corporation, of Verona, Wis., a software company that has changed the way medical records are kept, accessed, and disseminated. The Wisconsin company… is using technology to free up doctors and make patient records more transportable.”
