MetroHealth System (MHS) and The Ohio State University – Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) have won 2015 HIMSS Enterprise Davies Awards. The HIMSS Davies Award of Excellence recognizes outstanding organizations who have used health information technology to substantially improve patient outcomes while achieving return on investment.

MHS in Cleveland, Ohio, is a safety net healthcare system affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. They saw a return on investment of $8 million associated with implementing EHR workflows to improve care outcomes for diabetic patients, doubled HIV and HCV screenings for at-risk patients, and reduced drug-resistant infections by over 30%.
