Federal Court Enters Judgment and Issues Permanent Injunction Against GuardDog

The federal court order permanently bars GuardDog from accessing TEFCA and Carequality.
On Friday, March 20th, Judge Fernando M. Olguin of the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California entered an injunction order that permanently bars GuardDog from accessing TEFCA and Carequality and requires it to delete any patient data taken over TEFCA or Carequality,
Under the terms of the federal court judgment, GuardDog has been permanently barred from “requesting records using the TEFCA or Carequality interoperability frameworks,” and is required to “delete any patient health information or records obtained from the TEFCA or Carequality frameworks within one week,” and is barred from “any further use or dissemination of any patient health information or records” that GuardDog obtained.
