North Memorial Health predicts, identifies, and quickly treats postpartum hemorrhages, resulting in a 40% relative reduction. As many as 700 patients avoided a hemorrhage between 2016 and 2020.
North Memorial Health in Minnesota’s Twin Cities metro area focused specifically on preventing postpartum hemorrhage through early identification of risk and rapid detection and treatment. As a result of their efforts, they saw a 40% relative reduction in postpartum hemorrhages in the first year and a half of their program, with as many as 700 patients avoiding a hemorrhage between 2016 and 2020.
