Building trust and communication improves health outcomes
A recent study based on interviews with patients and health professionals suggests that patients “need to feel welcome for them to trust information, and trust guidance.” Under-insured and low-income patients who felt judged or treated differently by doctors and nurses were less likely to follow treatment plans.
