Kaiser Permanente shares lessons learned from 10 years of MyChart use
Kaiser Permanente has used MyChart since 2003, and 70 percent of their adult members are registered. KP shares these lessons with other organizations:
– MyChart secure email improves outcomes and patient-centered care. KP found patient-physician email is associated with a 2 to 6.5% improvement in HEDIS measures.
-MyChart positively impacts patient loyalty and member satisfaction. Users are 2.6 times more likely than nonusers to remain KP members. 85% of users rate email encounters an 8 or a 9 on a 9-point scale.
