Groundbreaking in the Early Days
March 21, 2016

One of Epic’s original locations was an old school building constructed in 1956. On the day we moved there in 1996, we were already too big for the space and had to build an addition. When it was completed, the bankers, architects, and builders all thought we would have a typical ceremony where a ribbon would be cut, executives would break ground, and we’d all clap. Instead, employees each had a small shovel and celebrated by scooping the soil together. If you ever see a small shovel in someone’s office, you’ll know they were one of the early groundbreakers that participated in this event.
