Med Students Beef Up Healthcare for Farmworkers
Students bring care to migrant workers on dairy farms in New England

Access to healthcare is a challenge for migrant farmworkers across the United States who often worry about taking time off and have trouble communicating with healthcare providers. Dartmouth’s Migrant Health Project is a student-run mobile clinic that travels to local farms to provide dental cleanings, medical and mental health screenings, and flu shots. The team specializes in translating technical medical information between Spanish and English, ensuring that workers fully understand their conditions and what they can do to keep themselves healthy.
