Additional software for demonstration: Other components include Intersystems Cache and KB SQL. Customers can choose to license content and terminology. Epic customers are not required to purchase SAP Crystal Reports for reporting, but for our demonstration we used Crystal Reports as a report rendering tool. For electronic medication administration with assistive technology, customers will need barcoding devices.

Certified: 9/30/2010
Versions: Spring 2008, Summer 2009, 2010, and 2012
Unique certification number; CC-1112-574355-1 (Inpatient - hospitals) or CC-1112-574355-2 (Ambulatory - eligible providers) Clinical quality measures to which we have been tested and certified; Hospital: All in the Hospital Domain; EP: All in the Eligible Provider Domain.

Software Used in Testing:

EpicCare Ambulatory Core EMR includes EpicCare Ambulatory, Care Everywhere (including the Care Elsewhere module), MyChart, Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Bridges, and several interface bundles (the e-prescribing interfaces bundle, the incoming lab results interface, the vaccinations registry interface bundle, and the outgoing surveillance interface). For the optional criterion 170.302(w) Recording Disclosures, we demonstrated our Release of Information (ROI) module for recording disclosures. As this criterion is optional, the ROI module is not required for Meaningful Use. For criteria where interfacing in data would be an equivalent alternative to manual entry, customers would need to license an incoming demographics interface.

EpicCare Inpatient Core EMR includes EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare ASAP, Care Everywhere (including the Care Elsewhere module), Health Information Management Release of Information (HIM ROI), Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Bridges, and several interface bundles (the incoming lab results interface, the vaccination registry interface bundle, the outgoing results interface, and the outgoing surveillance interface). For the criteria 170.302(u) Encryption, we demonstrated one possible method of encryption using our patient portal, MyChart. There are methods of encryption which are part of the EpicCare Inpatient Core EMR and do not require MyChart. For criteria where interfacing in data would be an equivalent alternative to manual entry, customers would need to license an incoming medications interface and/or the incoming demographics interface.
